With wild weather dominating the headlines this month, and some serious flooding across the UK as a result, there are inevitably questions to be asked about the role planning can play in contributing to tackling the climate crisis. Having given birth to a daughter at the beginning of this year, I find myself wondering about the world she will grow up in, the challenges facing this, and what planning might do to address some of these… In particular, it is impossible to ignore the climate crisis we’re facing, amongst other issues. So, what role can (and should) planning play in all this?
