As Head of Planning and Sustainable Development at Aberdeen City Council for 10 years, Maggie has a proven track record of delivery, including an up-to-date development plan, major transport infrastructure projects and significant planning applications.
Her extensive experience across a range of Council services means that she is able to take a strategic approach to any planning issue and offer unique insights into local government processes and procedures, including playing a brokering role when negotiations have reached a deadlock.
Pippa is an associate member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, and spent a number of years as a solicitor working in environmental and planning law before moving into consultancy work with aurora planning. She has experience of acting for landowners, developers and third parties on a wide range of planning matters, from single houses to large scale mixed use developments. Pippa also previously acted as an advisor for the Community Ownership Support Service, a Scottish Government funded programme set up to help community-based groups in Scotland to take on land or building assets for their community.
Pippa's strengths lie in her forensic approach, attention to detail, and understanding of matters that intersect with planning, for example environmental consenting and the community empowerment agenda.
